The traditional appeal of an oil portrait is centuries old. Grumbacher, Windsor Newton and Daniel Smith Original Oil colors are used with little or no medium. The surface is linen, which is personally prepared using high-quality stretcher bars, copper tacks and several coatings of acrylic gesso. All work is unframed.

Care is taken to craft an oil painting that will remain lustrous for years.

While photographs are used for reference, the painting is entirely original — rendered with no mechanical means, computer enhancements or photographic projection. Creation of a unique family treasure is the goal.
